What do I need to rent a storage unit near me?

To rent a unit, you must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport.

Can I rent a storage unit online?

Yes. You can browse units, sign your lease, and manage your account completely online. After completing your rental, you’ll receive your gate access code, lock code, and can move in right away during gate access hours.

Do you offer RV, boat, or vehicle storage?

Yes, we offer both covered and uncovered parking spaces for RVs, boats, trailers, and vehicles, with secure gated access and easy maneuvering with our wide drive aisles throughout the facility.

What do I need to store a RV/Boat/Vehicle?

You will need a copy of the current vehicle registration and insurance. We require all vehicles to be road-worthy.

Do you offer rental or move-in trucks?

We do not offer rental trucks, but we provide complimentary dollies and carts to help make loading and unloading easier.

Where are you located in Salinas?

We’re located at 201 Harrison Road in Salinas, just off Highway 101 near the Sala Road exit, making it easy to access from anywhere in the area.

Is there staff available if I need help?

Yes, we have a professional on-site manager available during office hours to assist with questions, unit selection, and move-in support.

What size storage unit do I need for a 2-bedroom apartment in Salinas?

Most 2-bedroom homes fit in a 10x10 or 10x15 unit. A 10x15 is a better option if you have larger furniture or want extra space for access.

Can I switch to a different storage unit size later?

Yes, if another unit size is available, you can transfer at any time. Our on-site manager will help make the transition simple and seamless.

When can I access my storage unit at Salinas Self Storage?

You can access your unit every day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. using your personalized gate code, giving you convenient daily access to your belongings.

What type of security do you have?

Our facility is designed with multiple layers of security, including gated access with personalized codes, 24/7 video surveillance, along with bright lighting and an on-site manager.

What makes your storage facility safer than others?

Electronic gate access is controlled by personalized codes, the facility is well lit, and the property is continuously monitored by surveillance cameras. We also have an on-site manager and routine lock checks for added security.

Do I need to bring my own lock?

No you do not need your own lock. All of our units are equipped with a high collar lock. You will receive a text with the code at time of rental. Should you forget your code, just scan or text the number on the lock and the code will be sent via text.

Is your facility easy to access for moving trucks?

Yes, our wide drive aisles and drive-up units make it easy to access your storage space, even with large trucks or trailers.
